Oh, it has been so long...

I pretty much forgot I had a blog. I'm not so much a writer, just a talker. I need to start an audio blog. Anyway, NO RACH YOU GUys weRE'NT awkward to live with! I just got your msg now, but no, no no no. :D
So, I'm living in Rotorua, I turned 23 and had a kiddies party with a scavenger hunt and pass the parcel, I got a job (woohoo!) working as a polymer engineer (woohoo!) for the biopolymer network, based at Scion, and on Thursday I judged science fair. which was awesome. This is the worst written post ever. Today is my dads birthday and I have been sewing a skirt. For me, not him. I leave NZ in THREE weeks today! I had a leaving party and I was sad, but I will be seeing half the people tonight anyway. Life is epic.
The end. (gotta go, there's a party to attend)

Big Changes... Spontaneously.

I keep coming back to this site to see if the owner has posted any news lately. I always experience a few seconds of disappointment before I realise it's my site and I already knew there was no new posts. Idiot.
So, the news is: I'm moving back to Rotorua. In 3 days. THREE DAYS! MOVING! Pretty much, the jobs have dried up here in Wellington, and I would rather be struggling for income in a place where I get to board for free/in exchange for doing the ironing (ie: my parents house). I am so so so gutted to be leaving Wellington though, I have really come to love it here and I don't feel ready to leave at all! A sure sign I will be back someday. Gaz, Jute, Nikki and Han have all been amazing flatmates, I just slotted right in without the awkwardness you get when you live with people for the first time.
I will really miss Gaz saying "f*** it's hot!" every 5 minutes in Summer, and "f*** it's freezing!" all throughout Winter; watching 10 bazillion episodes of House/Grey's Antomy in a row with Nikki; tucking Jute in after a night on the town; hearing someone tell Hannah she knows how to get a drink herself; seeing the 3 different bottles of milk in the fridge (green, blue, organic); Gaz getting into a grump and telling everyone off for no apparent reason; coming home and seeing Jute working on her car; having Chris hog around; hearing the wind at night so hard out I get scared we're in a tornado; convincing Nikki it's a good idea to use her ingredients to make macaroni cheese for dinner if I cook it; Han saying my macaroni cheese is yummy; Gaz putting his gangsta rap on in the lounge really loud, for every one to "enjoy"; my Dad ringing us almost everyday and asking if Juliet is home, when I've told him she works evenings everytime he's called for the last 2 weeks; the girls saying "I'll just get the person you want to talk to" and handing me the phone when a telemarketer or research person calls; the washing machine beeping continuously through the night; the pile of dishes that stack up ridiculously quickly; and yeah, there's more too. It's safe to say, I will miss the people, places, and things in Wellington.
Sob Sob.

I require employment

I need a new job. My current contract is drawing to an end, leaving me 2 months of unemployment before I fly out to Wales. I need an employment consultant to help me find a new job. Where oh where can I find one of them?

Where?

It's the WEEEEEKEND :D

Hi everyone !
Oh boy I really do love this no-University thing. It's Saturday morning in the Farnham household, and we are all chilling - Nikki's graffiti kniting, Jute's in the shower, and me and Gaz are listening to and discussing rapper wars - particularly the tracks that went down between Notorious BIG and Tupac. It is freaken ridiculous! East Coast and West Coast hate each other and all the rappers write songs to bitch about it... Oh! Now Gaz finds me a song by Jedi Mind Tricks that's pretty much talking about all the crap that goes down - it seems they are an underground band that doesn't get too caught up in the "politics" of rap.
Anyway, last night Caleb and Merine came down from Hamilton and we ate dinner and had some wine and watched TV / movies... Today is SELINA'S BIRTHDAY!!!! She's my new(ish) friend from work, she's pretty much awesome. And tonight we have our staff function - McKinley Cup Carnival - no one is sure what we are in for but we are all excited!
Have a great weekend guys xox

I FORGOT!

Sorry guys, guess I forgot to mention this......

bUSY!

hEY GUYS! aS MY 3 READERS MAY HAVE NOTICED, i HAVE NOT BEEN BLOGGING MUCH SINCE i LEFT uNIVERSITY. (I thought it would be fun to write in reverse caps, but it was just plain silly). Anyway, it's funny how when your life is going great, there are so many projects that fall to the wayside because you don't need them to distract you from what's really going on.

Well! Everything is going fantastically here in Wellington! Life after Uni is amazing. Actually. I am enjoying work, and even though I don't have many friends in this city I still get lots of social time. Quite often I go and play pool with a workmate after work, and have a glass of wine or two. Being able to spontaneously do that is rad! I went shopping yesterday and then out to a flatwarming, and didn't think twice about whether it was an effective use of my time or not. This afternoon I must tidy my room :-( but hey, you can't have it all, right?

I've been thinking about my piano exam, which is in August. I don't think I will be ready. I don't want to pay the fees and then have an epic fail. That would suck. I'm investigating sitting it in Wales, and if I did that I would also sit a theory exam as well (just because I have money coming out of my ears so would love to fork out the extra), meaning I wouldn't feel bad about postponing it because I would have twice the work. Hmmmm... Decisions....

I'm thinking I should spend the rest of the day (it's almost quarter to 4) doing housework - cleaning my room, the bathroom, and the kitchen. My flatmates and I have managed to avoid the dishes for a good few days now, to the point where we don't really have that many plates and things in the cupboards. Uh Oh. Oh, the joys of a tiny kitchen with no dishwasher. I actually think if we had a bigger kitchen I would be more inclined to do the dishes - the thought of getting into a small dark space to tackle piles of plates stacked on every available horizontal surface is just not very appealing.

MOTHER'S DAY! Man, I love my mum. She Rocks.

if only she were here to help me with that cleaning.....
